Give this quick & easy recipe a go, for hot dogs with an extra kick of MightyFine flavour. If you are barbecuing your sausages, get some colour on the outsides & just finish them off in the oven with the sticky glaze.
6 sausages (try your local butcher)
6 hot dog buns
8 tbsp Mighty Fine Things Original Sweet Chilli & Honey Sauce
1 tbsp Mighty Fine Things Kent Honey & Cider Mustard
1 tbsp oil for frying
2 pinches Seasalt
Fresh chilli to serve
Preheat the oven to 200°C & put a frying pan on a medium high heat, add the oil. Fry the sausages for 5 minutes until you get a good colour on their skins. Transfer them to an oven proof dish or tray, coat them in the MightyFine Sweet Chilli & Honey Sauce & leave them to bake for 20 minutes, turning occasionally to glaze them. Meanwhile slice the onions & add to the same frying pan, cook on a medium heat stirring regularly, you want to get some colour & charred bits & let them soften up. Add 1 tbsp of MightyFine Kent Honey & Cider Mustard to the onions, along with the sea salt & continue cooking until the hot dogs are done, give them a good shake in the tin to coat them with all the sticky bits. To serve slice the hot dog buns & add a spread of Dijon mustard, a good pile of mustard coated onions, top with a Sweet Chilli glazed sausage & some freshly chopped chilli for added heat.
