Faversham Raspberry Shrub Drink
If you haven’t heard already we’re here to tell you that drinking vinegar is a ‘thing’. Increasingly featured in top bar menus around the world, fruit vinegars, or shrubs as they’re known on the drink side of the fence, have in fact been around for centuries. Pretty much as long as people have been preserving stuff in vinegar which is a long time! We’ve been making this drink at our bars for a few years now and people are genuinely surprised to find we use vinegar. Tasty, refreshing, simple and a great way to get that real Raspberry taste at any time of the year.
You will need…
- Faversham Raspberry Vinegar – to taste, we use about 30ml for each drink
- Soda water or fizzy water from a SodaStream
- A few sprigs of Mint
- 1/4 Lemon
- Optional – Gin or Vodka
Simply pop your ice into a glass. Squeeze your lemon over the ice, wipe the rim of the glass with the lemon and then pop the whole thing in. Tear your mint and put it in with the lemon and ice. Add your Raspberry Vinegar (if you’re not sure on quantities start with a smaller amount, you can always add more. If you’re adding gin or vodka now’s the time to add it. Top with soda and stir.
